What condition must items be in to be accepted for consignment?
- All items must be in excellent condition.
- Clothing must be in excellent condition — free of odor, pet hair, stains, holes, broken fasteners, pilling, alterations, etc., in season and in style; 4 years or newer
- Garments must be freshly cleaned and pressed, with labels intact
- Shoes and handbags must be free of stains and scratches
- All items must have manufacturer's label; items without labels cannot be accepted
- Original cost of items must have been $15 or higher, no exceptions
Must items be labeled?
- Yes, a Consignment Shop ID tag must be attached to each garment through the manufacturer’s label with a straight pin BEFORE ENTERING THE SHOP. Covid protocols do not allow for labeling to occur in the shop.
- Tags are available at time of registration, for printing at home or at the shop. Tags must include name, registration # (one will be assigned to you at time of registration), item description—including whether it is men’s (M), women’s (W) or teen's (T), size and approximate original cost. This must be done BEFORE handing items to shop volunteers for consignment consideration. Grab your labels here!

Are there any fees? NEW! No fees this year!
- No, not this year. Consigning fees have been waived for 2020-2021 but you must register with the shop as a consignor.
- Articles accepted will be priced at the discretion of the Consignment Shop. You may request a specific owner’s price or O.P. if you choose. We price items on their preowned market values, not on the original prices when new.
How long will items be on consignment?
- We consign articles for up to four (4) weeks. Please pick up a Return To Owner (RTO) date reminder at the receiving counter.
What happens if my item(s) sell?
- You will earn 50% of the selling price if the item is sold within the up to four-week-selling period
- The Consignment Shop mails checks to consignors for 50% of the full selling price of your merchandise three times a year: December, March & June.
What happens if my item(s) do NOT sell?
- You may reclaim unsold or unaccepted items at any time up to the date on the RTO reminder—Tuesday through Saturday.
- Unclaimed articles will become the property of the Consignment Shop.
May I reconsign items that do not sell?
- Yes. Items may be reconsigned ONE time but must be removed from the shop for at least two weeks before they may be reconsigned; items must have original WSL consignment tag attached.
- Although all possible care is taken with your property, articles are consigned at the owner’s risk. The Consignment Shop is not responsible for damage or loss by fire, theft or vandalism. We carry no insurance covering loss to you. If you cannot find an article on the selling floor, a lost claim card may be completed and submitted to staff or Consignment volunteers.
- Due to our large number of consignors, we are unable to provide information on your consigned items over the phone. Please visit us in person to receive your unsold/sold merchandise .
- Due to space constraints within the shop, we may discontinue taking particular items for a short period. Please call Monday afternoons for items that we may not be accepting for the week.
- We reserve the right to close due to inclement weather. To check if we are open, please call or visit our website, Instagram feed or Facebook page.
