Grant Recipients 2017

In 2017, the Westfield Service League provided grants to local non-profits totaling $59,954. Below are a few highlights of our 2017 grant recipients. See the complete list of 2017 grant recipients.

Since 1941 the WSL has awarded community grants totaling $2.8 million.

Any local organizations interested in applying for a grant should complete Westfield Service League grant application. All grant recipients must be 501c3. Grant applications will be available soon. You can email us for information: WSLDonationApplication @gmail.com.

Roots and Wings

Roots & Wings provides young adults who age out of the foster care system in New Jersey with safe housing, educational support, counseling, and life skills in order to empower them toward self-sufficiency.

Streetlight Mission

StreetLight Mission is a faith based community outreach center located in the inner city of Elizabeth, NJ. StreetLight serves people struggling with poverty, mental illness, substance abuse and most of all hopelessness.
The heart of StreetLight Mission is to help each person become a positive contributing member of their family and the community in which they live.

Imagine

Imagine is a free year-round children’s grief support center that serves NJ children age 3-18 and young adults 18-30 who are grieving the death of a parent or sibling, or who are living with a parent of sibling with a life-altering illness. Imagine also provides grief education and training for thousands of teachers, parents, coaches, youth and other adults annually.

The Elizabeth Coalition

The Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless is a nonprofit on a mission to serve the needs of the homeless and near homeless. The Coalition empowers people with tools and support to transition to safe, affordable, permanent housing so that they can live healthy, productive lives.

Planned Lifetime Assistance

PLAN/NJ provides families with lifetime assistance for people with differing abilities, putting the assistance in place when families are ready, whether individuals need these services now, or in the future. PLAN/NJ helps family members prepare and provide the legal, financial and independent living supports that their loved one needs and deserves.
